Woven History

Woven began life as a little shop in the Seattle neighborhood of Ballard. Owner Jane Pine started the shop to showcase the work of local summer-fair artisans year round. Because these artisans weorked throughout Washington state, Jane managed a lot of the work online, and the store's small website soon took off. Jane closed the storefront in 2010 in favor of traveling further to find more artisans to bring to a wider audience through Woven's site.

Five years later, Woven works with three dozen small scale artisans around the country. We strive to bring their work to you at an affordable cost - know that any purchase you make here directly supports a traditional artisan who might not otherwise get the kind of exposure offered through Woven. Our artisans include weavers, knitters, woodworkers, candle makers and more; see our featured artisans and get to know a few!

Mission

Woven strives to bring affordable handmade crafts to living spaces around the United States and pledges to work for the benefit of traditional craftspeople.
