Featured Artisans

Our artisans live throughout the United States - we work to bring their work to you, wherever you are. Every item we sell comes with a short biography about the artisan your purchase supports. Each season, we highlight four of our artisans here.

Sara Young

Sara is a native of San Francisco, though she has called Burlington, Vermont home for the last 15 years. She learned the art of knitting from her great grandmother on foggy afternoons after school. Sara traveled around the world working late night shifts at hotels, where she further perfectd her knitting skills in the quiet hours. She began selling her projects at craft fair, and her popularity as a knit goods designer took off.

Peter Fumari

Peter's unique pottery comes from clay scooped directly from the Genesee River in western New York state. Fired in a kiln Peter built himself in his backyard, Peter's pottery is a testament to handcrafted quality.

Sophie Hans

Sophie is one of the premier rug braiders in the country, a tradition brought with her family when they moved west to Minnesota from Wisconsin the mid 1800s. Today Sophie offers rug braiding classes out of her home. She has over 40 regular students and is credited by American heritage organizations for reviving the fading art of rug braiding.
